After St. George we drove up to Fruit Heights to spend a day with Grandma Tanner and Aunt Kayalauna. It was short and sweet, and we got some great pictures of Afton with her Great Grandma and Great Aunt.
Then Brad flew back to Texas while Afton and I hitched a ride up to Idaho Falls with Trevor and Kristin so we could visit with Adam and Whit and Grandma and Grandpa Yeagle.
We stayed with Adam and Whit in their GORGEOUS Pottery Barn-esque home. Our short stay was packed with fun outings with cousins during the day and Olympics in the evening. It was a blast.
The first day there we went to what I call Idaho Falls Beach. A beach in Idaho. Who knew?!
See the little guy sitting between the 2 babes? Yup? That's Ashton. I guess the ladies didn't realize that Ashton is quite a good swimmer and that we were keeping a very close eye on him. :)
Nothing beats taking a snooze on the beach :)
Hal made a hot tub! Or maybe it's a foot spa....
The next day we headed over to the zoo with Grandma Yeagle.
Afton chillin with the goats.
Then later that afternoon Afton and I went over to spend some quality time with Grandma and Grandpa Yeagle.
I just love this picture.
I failed to get a cousin picture with Afton and her Morris cousins. Next time I will not fail.
Idaho was a little out of the way on our journey, but SO worth it. I hadn't seen these family members for a year or so. And it was the first time any of them had met Afton. So it was a pretty big deal.
And that concludes our 2 week Western Exodus. Afton and I endured a traveling day of doom that included a shuttle from Idaho to SLC and a flight with a layover home to San Antonio.
The trip was long, we traveled far, Afton met A LOT of family, and we had an AWESOME time.
To all of our family: we love you and we will be back out West soon!
