Woohoo! Eight month post!
Afton is getting more and more fun. Her personality is really starting to come through. She is quite the happy child, but she definitely has her moments where she gets very demanding. Which is usually when I am not feeding her fast enough.
She loves to flirt with people at the store. And with a mug this cute she gets plenty of opportunities for flashing her cute grin and racking in the compliments. She loves the attention.
Afton is fascinated by children. She gets so excited whenever she sees them.
Often when Afton is playing with her toys, I will lay down on the floor and read. And every few minutes Afton will come over and check on me.
I just love her.
Afton can now say "dadadada" "yayayaya" and "babababa" and she has a special noise that she makes for when she sees Nemo. It sounds like she is trying to say kitty. I won't be suprised if that is her first real word.
As far as mobility goes Afton still just scoots. She will go up to crawling position, but flattens out when she wants to move. However, one day I sat Afton down in the living room while I was unloading groceries and came in to find this:
I was completely shocked. I figured she would crawl before she started pulling herself up! I was wrong.
I found this standing table at a garage sale for $5. If Afton is sitting on my leg she can pull herself up to standing at the table.
She doesn't balance super well though, she is more leaning on the table than truly standing.
Already my little musician :)
We also discovered board books at the library. Afton particularly enjoys the books with flaps. So much fun to open and close and open and close over and over again!
That's all folks!
