Are you ready for a nice long post? Good.
So this is actually the only picture I took all week at my folks house:
The table set by your truly. We had a really nice week long vacation with my family. We had a great time playing games, having chats, and meeting my adorable new niece Natalia. Unfortunately I failed to take pictures! Sorry.
The week AFTER Thanksgiving Brad had a business trip. BOO. So I stayed with my folks and we took a trip to DISNEYLAND!
We left Sunday evening, which was a mistake. Our drive went from 3.5 hours to 7 due to all the holiday traffic. YIKES! Was the horrendous worth it? definitely.
That next morning Afton woke up birght and early, so we went to play in the lobby to allow others to sleep in. The lobby had a little corner with kid rocking chairs and a tv that played old school Disney cartoons. Afton loved it!
Then it was off to the park!
These two made Disneyland extra magical.
Cuddles with Grampy in line for It's a Small World!
Despite our frequent trips to Disneyland, this was my family's first time on It's a Small World in probably 10+ years. So we, of course, had to document it.
Afton on It's a Small World.
This was her face for almost every ride we went on.
Meeting Minnie! This was Afton's first encounter with a Disney character. I am glad to say she was enthralled by them.
Playing at Minnie's House
Cheesy baby grins!
Afton loved the parade.
Our stroller's first true test. Afton loves it. I love it. Perfect for sitting up and seeing the world OR laying back and taking a nap.
Did I mention that Disneyland was decorated for Christmas? Disneyland at Christmas time is breathtaking. Don't believe me?
See for yourself:
Told you so.
It is totally worth fighting the crowds to see the gorgeous lights and partake in the magic.
AND the sign of a succesful trip to Disneyland?
That's right. Sleeping Babies.
sidenote: Afton got her top two teeth in during this trip. Well, one right before we left. The other at Disneyland. That's right she was teething at Disneyland, but did not fuss a bit. Disneyland is that magical.
