Western Exodus: Las Vegas and Duck Creek

The last two weeks of July, Afton and I went on a little adventure to Vegas, Utah, and Idaho. Our mission was to see as much of the family as possible. I would say it was a success.

Tuesday we flew to Las Vegas and spent a  lovely evening with my parents, Taylor and Stasi. The flight in was not so fun. The air pressure was really messing with Afton's poor little ears. Unfortunately she decided to make our ears suffer as well.
Afton was totally wiped out at Olive Garden.

Spending some quality time with Taylor and Stasi. They will be welcoming a little girl into the world at the beginning of September!

Wednesday Afternoon we hit the road and headed out for Duck Creek! The Henderson crew meets there every year and I was so excited to be going back to my favorite campsite EVER.
Afton wasn't a fan of being buckled in for so long.

Due to road closures we had to go through Parowan to get to Duck Creek. This gave us a great excuse to stop by the grave sites of my Great Grandparents, and Afton's namesake.

The fun really started when we finally  made it to Duck Creek, and it didn't stop until we had to say goodbye. Just a few highlights in pictures:

Below, Afton is snoozing in her travel bed. She slept sooo well this trip.

Hanging out with Great Grandpa Henderson!

Grampy volunteered to carry Afton around in the Moby for our hiking adventure!

Can you spy the cousins?

Cup-Kate and Pippin-dog. Pip had a blast camping and was very well behaved.

Momsy and Popsicle posing in front of the beautiful Bryce Canyon scenery.

More climbing cousins!

Afton made a new friend with a horny toad!

One of the highlights of the week, Afton and Harlow FINALLY meeting each other! They are exactly 1 week apart and are destined to be best buds. Look! Already holding hands!

Needless to say, Duck Creek was a blast. I just wish I took more pictures!
