5 months old already! Why does she have to grow so fast?
Afton gets more and more fun every month.
This month her fun little "hiccup laughs" have turned into full blown giggle sessions! We have been trying to get it on tape all month, and we finally captured it just this week :)
Afton is also exploring the range of her voice a lot more. Which means she is getting louder AND she is squawking. I don't know if I like this or not yet. I am really hoping she moves on to other noises soon.
At the beginning of this month I would occasionally find Afton with her fingers in her mouth at night. I was hoping the pacifier would still be the soother of choice, but alas, the fingers won. Mostly due to the fact that she would pull the pacifier out and couldn't really get it back in. Fingers are easier to put in mouths. Maybe she will drop this habit on her own in a couple of years?
Afton LOVES food. We quickly moved from rice cereal to carrots and she gobbled those right up. At first she would kind of "face plant" into her spoon with excitement. She has since figured out the food will arrive into her mouth if she keeps her head up too :)
I have yet to see Afton turn from stomach to back, but I know she does it because I find her on her back all the time in her crib! She is also tucking her legs under her belly, and somehow scoots forward to grab onto toys. Once again, I have yet to see this scooting, but I know it happens! She is the elusive mover.
Sometimes I wish Afton would just stop growing. Just stay my sweet little baby forever. I then remind myself that this would not be healthy and I would miss out on all the fun things that come with growing. So I reluctantly allow time to keep going and try to soak in every moment of Afton's baby-hood that I can.

Ah, I miss that girl! She gets cuter and cuter every time I see her! I love the big blue eyes, and the "giggles" video was hilarious! I think it's great that she had to look and think about what just happened before laughing uncontrollably. :) Thanks for the post!
