Hello blogging world! It's been a while. I apologize for not keeping you up to date on our eventful lives, and the last few months have been pretty eventful. So here we go!
The first event that happened in October was the return of Elder Zachary Morris. I was lucky enough to be able to fly home for the special event (thanks Mom and Dad!)
Some of you may be wondering who those 4 studly men are standing with me. Why those are my dear brothers (and my darling niece and nephew) together again for the first time in over 2 years! It was so fun to see my family again, and to see how much Zach has matured over the last couple of years. It was clear to tell that he came to understand what it means to lose himself in the service of others.
For anyone who may not know, Zach spent the last two years serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. To learn more about missionaries and what they do go here.
Some other highlights of the weekend:
Seeing Adam, Whit and kids, I honestly had not seen them for about a year, and let me just say they are awesome, and my niece and nephew are pretty darn adorable.
Jake-a-mus had his eagle scout court of honor - go Jake! AND the cake my mom made for the event getting stolen. Out of the chapel. Who steals someone's cake out of a church building? It made for a little freak-out at the time, but we all laugh about it now.
Singing with my lovely cousin Sara in sacrament meeting. She has a beautiful voice and it was fun to be able to sing with her for our family.
