April Firsts

April was a month of firsts.
Many of these firsts involve the outdoors because the weather was GORGEOUS.

First time playing with chalk. This lasted about 10 minutes.
Once Afton started eating the chalk, we were done.

First time planting vegetables.
The top are two pepper plants and the bottom is a tomatoe. YUM

First time getting hand foot and mouth disease.
Not to be confused with foot and mouth. (So glad my awesome pediatrician clarified this one for me)
One day of a high fever and a week of being sequestered in the house to avoid spreading it.
Not fun.

First time playing with a gimungo ball.
Seriously, the best $2.50 I have ever spent

First baseball game of the season! We went with some friends, sans Afton.

Not necesarrily a first, but Afton LOVES playing with her animal magnets.
She also rocks the mullet :)

First time dipping carrots into ranch dressing. YUM

First time feeding the ducks!
She loved it.

First time going to a wedding!
This was actually my first non-LDS wedding. Go figure.

It was a beautiful wedding.
The venue was gorgeous, the company was great, the food delicious, and Afton was adorable.

I also turned a quarter of a century old in April!
We celebrated by going out to eat down by the Riverwalk at the County Line.
The beef ribs were good, but I decided I don't love Texas barbeque sauce.
It's good just not my favorite.

I told Brad that I did not want a cake this year.
All I wanted was a Marie Callendar's LEmon Cream Cheese Pie with Graham Cracker Crust.
SOOOO GOOOOOD.

April, as always, was good to me.

Afton's First Easter

This was the first year that I really put together an Easter basket. In the past Brad and I would get our favorite treats, but we didn't really make baskets. So I was excited to have a little basket for Afton.

After Afton woke up from her nap we let her find her basket and explore the goodies inside.

She got a book from Grandma Morgan, bubbles, and eggs filled with her favorite kind of little bunny snacks. Brad thought it was kind of a lame treat, but she likes them!

Later, we went outside and did a little egg hunt in the backyard. With six eggs. I knew she would probably only pick up one anyways, so no need to go crazy this year.

And here she is with her first egg! That she kept holding over the basket as if to put it in, but she would pull it away every time. Fake out!

I decided Brad is a better camera-man than me. His voice is much less annoying than mine :)

Post egg hunt. Enjoying the noise her eggs make.

Isn't she just adorable?
