SEA WORLD!!!

I know what you are thinking.... what haven't these two done this summer. Last Saturday my visiting teaching companion who is a dolphin trainer at Sea World gave us free day passes! Needless to say, it was awesome!

Shamu! They had some "technical" difficulties when we saw the show, as in, the whales would not cooperate. They had to restart the show twice :)

This was actually part of the dolphin/acrobat show. The acrobats all got on this swing deal and would launch someone to do a flip! it was really neat

This was the coolest part... my companion let us go behind the stage and meet this Beluga whale! she is the newest mommy at sea world with a 3 month (i think) old baby.

Brad's turn! He got a birthday smooch from a beluga!

Harry Potter and the Ugliest Shoe Contest

So about two weeks ago (I know, I STINK at blogging) I went to Vegas to visit the family and to have some fun shopping with my mom! I was there for four fun filled days, but unfortunately did not take a lot of pictures, but the ones I do have are gems.

So I got in Tuesday morning of the Harry Potter midnight showing, so of course, my whole family and I went! I loved the movie. I was a little disappointed at the ending, but it ties with number 5 at the top of my list.

My mom and I have this little unsaid competition when we go shopping, we like to find the umost ridiculous items for the departments we are in, shoes, clothes, purses, glasses, you name it! For some reason I felt like I wanted to document some finds from our last shopping trip.

Store #1 Payless - my Mom spotted these little beauties. Please notice the HUGE fatty weaved platform/wedge.

Store #2 - Nordstrom Rack- I won at this store. purple snake skin baby! Also, please note the heels.... they were taller than they looked, I almost twisted my ankle just standing in these!

Also while in Vegas: my little brother Jake gave me some pointers on how to play ping pong better; I went with my mom, Aunt Jill and cousin Sara to see West Side Story at Spring Valley Ranch AND had a wonderful time; had lots of mom/daughter bonding time!

Corpus Christi - Beach Trip!

Here is the very belated blog post about our beach trip!

Our little set up on the beach. When we first got there I was expecting to see a parking lot, but you just park right on the beach! kind of handy.

A little close up of Brad chillin on the beach. It was lots of fun, we did get sunburned... I was not very good about reminding us to reapply sun screen. In fact, we are still peeling a little bit. whoops.

Fourth of July Fun in Austin!

I have been wanting to go to Austin for a looong time. So, Brad and I decided it would be fun to go for the fourth.

Here is the hospital where I was born... walking distance from the law school, where my Padre went to school!

Here it is, UT campus

Hey Dad! does this look familiar?

How about this?

Haha, I couldn't resist.

After we explored UT campus and ate some yummy dinner we headed over to the park by Lady Bird Lake to watch an AWESOME fireworks show accompanied by the Austin symphony orchestra. They also fired off cannons... they were twice as loud as the fireworks!

The best picture from our attempts to get a fourth of July shot.

Yes, it was hot - but overall we had a good time!

Schlitterbaun

To celebrate Brad's four day weekend from work we spent a day at the original Schlitterbaun park in New Braunfels. They have the #1 water slide in America - it shoots you up hills! It was definitely the best slide I have ever been on. My other favorite attraction was the torrent.... It's like a lazy river only it has waves in it. A wave RIVER! haha. There were a lot of other fun attractions we went on as well. We had a fun day in the sun... and didn't even get sunburned!
