School and Stuff

So we are back in school, and boy are we busy. Brad is taking 18 credits (he has to finish up his GE's before next year) and is working AND is co-president of ASM. So he is kept pretty busy with all of that. I am taking 17 credits and am starting the Elementary Education program. I am LOVING it. It is busy, but it is so much fun. My classes are great. My only complaint is that it is expensive! The books alone were horrendous and then they give us even more little things to do on top of that. oh well.

Despite our busy schedules we still manage to have our weekend dates AND still manage to go to the basketball games every now and then. We are starting to figure out our living situation for the next year. We want to switch apartments, so we are finding housing for that AND we are figuring out were we will live when we go to San Antonio this summer! We are way excited for that.

Christmas Time

So I guess it's about time that I write about Christmas Break. Christmas was great. Brad and I went to Vegas for about 2 weeks. And we did absolutely nothing. OK... we did stuff but mostly we just relaxed. It was very nice. Christmas was pretty exciting - not only because it was our first Christmas together - but because Santa came to my house - seriously. Here is a picture to prove it:

Some people may look at Santa's shoes and think it is my Dad... but it isn't it is Santa. I guess they have similar tastes in shoes styles :). Also, see those big boxes next to Santa. Guess what was inside......LASER TAG!!! Santa brought us laser tag!!! So Christmas Eve while everyone else was indoors rein-acting the nativity scene, my family was out playing laser tag in our col-de-sac :) It was great.

These are our game faces.... mine needs a little bit of work :)

Don't worry - We did read the nativity scene and watched the little drummer boy afterwards - as is our tradition.

Christmas was a lot of fun, Brad and I enjoyed being with family and it was fun doing the whole stocking stuffer deal for each other. Brad wrapped up everything that he was putting in my stocking - including the deodorant and toothbrush. (it's a tradition in his family). AND I made sure to get Brad his baseball and basketball cards... so Christmas was not ruined! We got some nice gifts from parents and grandparents (THANK YOU!) and doubled our movie collection which is still prominently Disney. as it should be :)

We were still in Vegas for New Years. No we didn't go to the strip, we just chilled at home with my parents and Jacob and played dominoes. AND we watched The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly on TV because I needed to see an old Clint Eastwood Film. It was good... but it had some really slow parts.... like wandering around in the desert for hours. And alternating close-ups between the 3 main character's faces for like 20 minutes.... at least I got a lot of Brad's beanie finished :)

On our way home to Provo we did a session at the St. George temple. It was really neat. We even got to go peek into our sealing room. I love that temple!

Socially Engaging Art Experience

For my art class, our teacher assigned us to do a socially engaging art experience. Kind of different, I know, but it was actually really fun. What I did was make some cupcakes and spelled out TEACH with them. Then I set myself up in the student lounge of the McKay building and well, the video explains the rest:

After about 3 hours I just decided to give the rest of the cupcakes out for free because it was 3:00 on a Friday and most people had cleared campus already. I did not use all of the quotes that I received, but the ones included were some of my favorites.
