Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband

Soooooo... last weekend on Saturday Brad and I went to the Ryan Shupe concert. It was way fun... and the best part... we didn't have to pay for anything! E&Y is one of the companies Brad is interviewing with and every year they put on this concert for all the intervew-ees. It is pretty sweet. We got candy and a CD, and were able to talk with the band and have them all sign it. It was pretty much a really fun night, and i took a couple of pictures.

So this second picture is my favorite.... they were all playing on each others instruments and then the drummer got up and started fiddling... it was pretty cool. If anyone ever has a chance to go see them in concert.... they should, because they put on a really fun show. THE END.

tanner building dedication

I went to the dedication of the new edition of the Tanner Building on campus Friday. I had heard rumors that President Monson would be in attendance. It turns out that not only was the prophet there, but the First Presidency and at least 4 or 5 other Apostles!! I took a couple pictures with my phone, but the quality isn't the best. Afterwards, I was able to shake hands with Elder Nelson and also meet Sister Beck (YW General Pres). Pretty much it was awesome. The dedication was good too, but seeing the Apostles of close was even better!

In the actual event, there were several speakers including Ned Hill and the Marriott brothers who own Marriott. Then President Monson spoke and dedicated the new edition. I guess 20+ years ago, President Hinckley did the original dedication of the Tanner Building.

Happy Halloween!!!

So... I finally found a template that I enjoy, and it let's me change ALL the colors, which I really like. So now I can change the colors according to the season :) So I am excited for Halloween, because Brad and I are going to Disneyland!! No worries... we are still dressing up for a Halloween party that my family is having. AND we have a wonderful costume idea, but I will just wait until we can post pictures to reveal our splendid idea. Happy Haunting!

Wedding Stuff... Finally :)

So... now that it has been two months since Brad and I were married down in St. George... I guess i will blog about it.

It was a hot day, but a perfect one none-the-less. I am sure there are little things that I could look back on that were not-so-perfect, but I refuse to do so. The temple was beautiful. There was a potential scare - they almost didn't let me wear my dress - but fortunately the temple matron gave it the ok. I will never forget what it was like to walk into that sealing room and see family and friends there all in white and with smiles on their faces. I had to do everything I could to not cry. Thanks to all of those who came especially for waiting out in the hot sun to take pictures!

The reception was beautiful and came together quite nicely. After all of my laboring over the tiny details... when it came down to it, i could really care less about what it all looked like! I was just happy that the long summer of waiting was over! My brother Zach did a wonderful job of being the DJ - he made a few slip ups with announcing - but over all he was awesome!

Pictures are apparently worth a thousand words... So I will let them tell the rest of the story :)
Note: these are just a few pics brad's Aunt took so if you want to see the professional shots just let me know and I will send you the link.

This picture was actually taken the day before we got married... yes he saw me in my wedding dress before (gasp). But definitely no bad luck resulted. In fact I am glad we did it because I got to get dressed up twice AND even more it was REALLY hot the next day.

YAY!! finally married! No more stinkin planning :)

This is the wedding party. Doesn't everyone look so nice? I thought so too.

This is my cake that my aunt Sonya made. I loved it. You can't tell in this picture... but all of the flowers were made by her and my cousin with fondant (or something like that).

So those are just a few pics... if you want to see more than just ask and i will get you the link... i am just too lazy to loook it up right now. :)

If you're checking out our blog, there's a good chance you're bored. My group (GROUP X) for a class just started a hilarious new website: www.funnychuckle.com.

Check it out! If you want, you can even add your own funnies and rate the funnies you see.
